Views - Webcam
To add a semi-static webcam to your views, you need
to find out the URL of the most recent webcam pic. When you have
the URL, you can add it to your views as described below.
Important: Not all webcams can be added to EarthClock.
Here's a list of prerequisites:
- Webcam must accessible with a web-browser. Since
EarthClock is essentially a very simplified web-browser, it
only supports browser-based cam-images. If you can't get
it to display in your browser, don't even try it in
EarthClock.
- No streaming cams. Streaming webcams require
special players which EarthClock does not have. The image must
be semi-static, meaning that while the
image may change periodically, the address
(URL) of the image must always remain the same.
- Only .gif, .jpg, and .png images. Other filetypes are not supported.
